Two weeks ago Bryce traveled to Florida for the first time to audition for the substitute list with the New World Symphony in Miami. New World is an orchestral training program offering three-year fellowships for talented classical musicians. As an orchestral academy, New World will not offer fellowships to students in the middle of a degree program. Since Bryce just finished the first year of his Master's, he was ineligible to win a full-time position. However, he is thrilled to have been selected as a semi-finalist, which places him on the substitute list for the 2017-2018 season! Bryce is really looking forward to the opportunity of performing as an extra with the orchestra.
